I'm a Nurse Practitioner and a mother of two, with roots in the Dominican Republic. I spent years caring for patients at Presbyterian Hospital in New York City, sitting with people through some of the hardest moments of their lives. That work shaped how I see healing, and it's where I found the fortitude to speak from an educated place instead of staying quiet.
A few years ago I decided to use my voice for what actually matters — showing up fully unmasked, beautiful parts and not-so-beautiful parts alike. Kind of like an AA meeting, where we take the mask off and tell the truth. Everything I write comes from what I've actually lived and learned, at the bedside and off the clock.
My book, Love and Light: On Your Journey Inward, grew out of those posts — my hope is that it can be a mirror that helps you see yourself a little more clearly.
